这是2004年在德洲达拉斯举行的名为CROSSROADS(Guitar Festival)的美国现代流行音乐盛会,以布鲁斯为主旋律,并邀请了摇滚,乡村,爵士,印度民乐等各个流派的吉他音乐大师助兴,非常精彩,我尽力试着用截图配合文字的方式把这场音乐盛会献给大家,我会尽量引用大师们的原话和歌词(因为我担心自己蹩脚的翻译会曲解原意),结合我的一点点知识作为图片的说明,希望能够和各位爱乐的朋友交流,也希望能够帮助对布鲁斯摇滚这门艺术还比较陌生的朋友有所认识. 谨以此贴向我热爱的音乐和大师们致敬!
看看这次音乐会的标题就可以猜到他是今天的主角(Crossroads是他在Cream乐队时期的成名作),和批头士一起出道,屹立摇滚乐坛40年不倒的摇滚”活化石”,人称慢手”Slow Hand”的布鲁斯吉他大师Eric Clapon.从”Yard Bird”新兵乐队到”Cream”奶油乐队,再到广为流传的”Layla”,”Tears in heaven”这位大师的传奇和故事太多太多,让我们看看他下面这段话,也许可以有助于我们理解为什么当年这个英国男孩从此将一生献给了布鲁斯音乐. Jimmi Vaughan,说到他就不能不说到一个人, Stevie Ray Vaughan(80年代点燃布鲁斯复兴之火的吉他天才大师,以下简称S.R.V),因为Jimmi是S.R.V的亲哥哥,也是一个布鲁斯吉他好手,这里有一个小故事,1990年S.R.V受Eric Clapton之邀做为其巡演的嘉宾,当时S.R.V和Clapton在途中分乘两架直升机,Jimmi和Clapton在一起,但是S.R.V的那架不幸坠毁,失去挚友的Clapton痛不欲生,消沉了一年多,后来在Jimmi的鼓励下再次复出,Jimmi Vaughan的这首<SIX STRINGS DOWN>就是为了纪念自己的弟弟S.R.V的, 对弟弟的死,Jimmi在歌中唱到: …Heaven done called another blues stringer back home… 看看歌词,里面出现的名字都是已经为音乐献出了生命的大师,他们都是听从天堂的召唤而”回家”的Blues Stringer,而台上的这三个人都是当年和S.R.V在一起演出的老朋友: “Alpine Valley”…in the middle of the night,six strings down.,On a heaven-bound flight,he’s get a pick,a strap,A guitar on his back,.Ain’t gonna cut the angels no slack,Heaven done called another blues stringer back home. see the Voodoo chile?(是指Jimmi Hendrix),He’s holding out his hand,I’ve been waiting on you ,brother, welcome to the band,Good blues stringing,heaven-fine singing,Jesus,Mary and Joseph been listening to the playing, Heaven done called another blues stringer back home.
